Physician billing intelligence from public Medicare data
ClaimLight turns the Medicare Part B public use files into clear statistics on physician work and markets: how much each specialty bills in each metro, how a practice compares with its peers, and how markets change year to year.
What we are building
- Specialty and market pagesMedians, percentiles, physician density and five-year trends for every specialty in every state and metro.
- Provider pagesEach clinician's reported Medicare services and payments, work RVUs calculated from disclosed service lines, and rank among peers of the same specialty.
- Groups, hospitals and citiesClinicians affiliated with each group practice and hospital, and everyone practicing in a city, with peer comparisons.
- Billing codesWho bills each service and drug, nationally and by state, with volume and trend.
- Market ReportsA downloadable report for one specialty in one metro, with an offer calculator for physicians weighing a position.
Built on the CMS Medicare Physician & Other Practitioners files for 2020 to 2024, the CMS Doctors and Clinicians files, Medicare enrollment by county, the HUD ZIP crosswalks and the physician fee schedule work RVUs. Figures cover traditional Medicare Part B fee-for-service only; they are payments to the billing entity and do not show what any clinician is paid.
